"Fireflies" is a single released by Owl City. It was written and produced by Adam Young for Owl City's second album, Ocean Eyes (2009). Relient K vocalist Matt Thiessen is featured as a guest vocalist in the song. "Fireflies" received positive reviews from critics praising its high quality production as well as commenting on the lyrical content and Young's vocal performance. The song has attained moderate success, topping the charts in the United States and Denmark. The accompanying music video for the song portrays Young singing it in a toy-filled bedroom, causing the toys and other items in the room to magically come to life.
